Fine Young Cannibals
Biography
When the English Beat split down the middle in 1983, two groups were formed — one side became General Public, and the other became Fine Young Cannibals.
Though both would have success in the early going, Fine Young Cannibals, made up of Andy Cos, Roland Gift, and David Steele would be the band that would go on to have success outside the realm of new wave.
Fine Young Cannibals were a British rock music band formed in Birmingham, England, in 1984, by bassist David Steele, guitarist Andy Cox (both formerly of The Beat), and singer Roland Gift (formerly of the Akrylykz). … Their name came from the 1960 film All the Fine Young Cannibals starring Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood
