#7. Janet Jackson eloped with James Debarge. Melle Mel from Grandmaster Flash appeared on `I Feel for You` with Chaka Khan. U2`s `Pride` was dedicated to Martin Luther King.

#8. The Grange Hill cast said `Just say No`. The Dammed had a hit with `Eloise`. The oldies made a comeback.Roger Whittaker and Des O`Conner had a chart entry with `The Skye Boat Song`

#9. `Eye of the Tiger` by Survivor topped the charts. The Beatles `Love Me Do` was in the Charts. `A Little Peace` by Nicole was the Eurovision winner,it also topped the charts.

#10. Nick Berry had a hit from the TV series `Eastenders` with Every Loser Wins`. Status Quo were `In the army Now`. Go West won best newcomers at this years Brits.
